Hyderabad, March 17 -- A delegation of the Telangana BJP, led by State President N Ramchander Rao, on Tuesday met the Director General of Police (DGP) B Shivadhar Reddy and submitted a memorandum alleging rising political attacks on party leaders and biased functioning of the police.

The delegation brought to the DGP's notice the alleged attempted murder of BJP leaders in Chandur of Nalgonda district. They criticised the police for registering the case under "weak sections," claiming it benefited the accused despite BJP leaders and activists sustaining serious injuries.

They also raised concerns over an incident in the Pargi constituency of Vikarabad district, where BJP activists were allegedly attacked by Congress leaders. The delegation...
