Hyderabad, Jan. 9 -- Hyderabad city police have registered an FIR against a man for allegedly running over and killing a puppy with his car in Saroornagar.
The case was registered after intervention by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India and a local caregiver, Ms Sonali Bhowmick, police said here on Friday.
The incident occurred on January 2, 2026, when a car reportedly approached a group of five puppies and slowly ran over one of them, resulting in its death.
The vehicle allegedly did not stop or provide any assistance after the incident.
CCTV footage of the incident helped police identify the accused as Mr Shravan.
