Budapest, Aug. 25 -- In a sharp attack on Ukraine, Hungary has called on Kyiv to stop disrupting its energy supply following a targeted attack on the Soviet-era Druzhba (Friendship) oil pipeline to Central Europe, reports RT.
The attack has sparked the ire of both Hungary and Slovakia, both of whom have taken the matter to the European Commission. Ukrainian drones have struck the Druzhba pipeline several times, most recently on August 2 and 13.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told Ukraine not to threaten Budapest, and slammed the drone attacks on the Druzhba pipeline, which he said was critical to the country's energy supply.
