Ranchi, Feb. 19 -- A membership programme of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) held at Congress Bhavan in Ranchi on Thursday has seen overwhelming participation from the Sikh community. Hundreds of new members from the Sikh community joined Congress party by accepting membership in the presence of state Congress president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh.

The event was initiated by Jyoti Singh Matharu and led by social worker Sukhpal Singh Namdhari along with Gurdeep Singh and Pritpal Singh.

Party leaders described the membership drive as a reflection of growing public confidence in the Congress party's pro-people policies, social harmony, and development-oriented vision in the state.
