Shimla, Jan. 14 -- After rendering 20 years of service, several conductors and multi-task workers of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) were compelled to approach the Himachal Pradesh High Court to secure the release of their earned benefits.

A single bench of Justice Sandeep Sharma recently passed an order assuring a petitioner that two increments would be granted, a move the corporation is already contemplating.

During the proceedings, HRTC submitted an office letter dated December 20, 2025, issued to all its offices across the state, containing consolidated instructions for granting two additional increments to conductors after completing 20 years of regular service.
