Shimla, Feb. 5 -- Joint Action Front of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board employees and officers would stay away from work on February 12 in support of the strike call given by those working in the public sector power companies against the electricity amendment bill.
Convenor of the Joint Action Front of HPSEB, Hiralal Verma, stated that the strike was given on an all-India level by various trade unions belonging to public sector power companies.
He stated that HPSEB and the public sector power company distributing power to consumers would be handed over to distribution companies to completely transfer the public sector units to various Discoms.
