Kochi, April 8 -- Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has activated a nationwide supply and enforcement mechanism to tackle a temporary surge in demand for fuel and LPG, assuring that there is no shortage across its network.
During April 1-7, the company significantly scaled up operations, recording sales of 2,64,548 kilolitres of petrol (MS) and 4,77,030 kilolitres of diesel (HSD). In order to maintain uninterrupted supplies, HPCL dispatched 48,099 tankers carrying petroleum products and subsidised kerosene to retail outlets across the country.
