Dharamshala, Dec. 30 -- Senior BJP spokesperson Trilok Kapoor today dismissed the fast being observed by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and his cabinet at Ridge Maidan as "pure drama," alleging that the Congress government was sacrificing rural livelihoods merely to appease Rahul Gandhi.
Addressing a press conference here, Kapoor said the (Narendra) Modi government's Viksit Bharat Gramin Rozgar Aajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G) was a "lifeline for the rural economy" and would give practical shape to the resolve of "Ram ka naam bhi aur kaam ke poore daam bhi" (the name of Ram along with full value for work).
He claimed that the Congress was unable to accept the scheme solely because of ideological prejudice.
