Shimla, March 25 -- Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania on Wednesday lauded the quality of participation by women legislators during the ongoing budget session and announced plans to institute a "Best MLA Parliamentary Award" to recognise excellence in legislative performance.
Addressing the House, the Speaker said he was particularly impressed by the contribution of first-time MLAs, including Anuradha Rana and Kamlesh Thakur, noting that their level of debate, articulation, and engagement in proceedings reflects a healthy democratic culture.
