Shimla, Feb. 5 -- Confronted with an unacceptably high rate of road accidents and fatalities, the Himachal Pradesh Police has intensified its technology-driven road safety strategy by rolling out the Electronic Detailed Accident Report (eDAR) system across the state. The data-centric initiative aims to curb nearly 1,920 road accidents and around 800 deaths reported annually on the state's treacherous mountain roads.
