Coimbatore, Nov. 23 -- Tearful homage were paid to the mortal remains of Wing Commander Namansh SyalSulur IAF Air Base who died after the Tejas fighter aircraft he was piloting crashed during a manouvre at theDubai Aero Show.
His body was brought from Dubai to the Sulur Air Base near Coimbatore today where senior air baseofficials paid their last respects.
Poignant scenes were witnessed as Syal's wife, who was also present, wept unconsolably and was counselledby the senior officials.
Defence sources said homage was paid to the mortal remains of Wing Commander Namansh Syal, who laidhis life in line of duty by Coimbatore District Collector Pavankumar G Giriyappanavar by placing a wreath atthe Air Force Station Sulur.
