Chennai, Oct. 2 -- A holiday trip to the tourist spot of Munnar in Kerala turned tragic, as three peoplefrom Chennai were charred to death and two others sustained serious injuries, when the car in which theywere travelling, hit a road median, rammed into a lorry and caught fire near Vikravandi in Villupuramdistrict of Tamil Nadu today.
Police sources said a group of five members from the city left Chennai this morning left for Munnar thismorning in a car in view of the Puja holidays.
While crossing a junction, the person behind the wheels lost control of car following a tyre burst.
