Hydderabad, Jan. 29 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Thursday described the handover of land for Mamunuru Airport as a historic milestone that will be remembered for generations.
He said the People's Government achieved the long-pending task immediately after coming to power by handing over 300 acres of land to the union Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Addressing a public meeting at Begumpet Airport here, the Deputy Chief Minister formally handed over the land to union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and urged him to fast-track the construction of the proposed airports at Adilabad and Kothagudem, similar to the progress made on Mamunuru Airport.
