Dhar (MP), Jan. 23 -- On the occasion of Basant Panchami, a five-day programme commenced on Friday at the historical Bhojshala in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district. The sounds of worship were accompanied by offerings in the fire altar. Amid the Supreme Court's ruling on Thursday regarding puja and namaz, the premises were dotted with saffron flags.

The sanctum sanctorum and other parts have been specially decorated with five-and-a-half quintals of flowers. As soon as sunrise occurred, seamless worship commenced in front of an idol of Vagdevi by Bhojshala Mukti Yajna's Gopal Sharma and committee members.
