Dharamshala, April 22 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has ordered an inquiry into alleged irregularities in the Himcare scheme, accusing the previous BJP government of serious financial misconduct, including fraudulent medical claims.

Addressing the media, the Chief Minister alleged that during the tenure of the previous BJP regime, major discrepancies occurred in the Himcare scheme, even citing instances where ovarian surgeries were reportedly shown for male beneficiaries.

He said the present state government has taken cognisance of the matter and ordered a detailed probe.
