Shimla, Jan. 3 -- A two-storey wooden house was gutted in a massive fire that broke out on Friday morning in Naling-2 village of Rupi Panchayat in Himachal Pradesh, causing heavy property loss but no casualties.

According to preliminary reports, the fire erupted at around 6:45 a.m. in the wooden house belonging to Budhram. Owing to the highly inflammable nature of the structure, the flames spread rapidly and, within minutes, engulfed the entire building.

Four rooms, including the kitchen, were reduced to ashes before any effective firefighting measures could be undertaken.
