Shimla, June 16 -- Himachal Pradesh Government today issued official procedural guidelines for the implementation of the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) for All India Services (AIS) officers of the state cadre, replacing the earlier National Pension System (NPS).
The new scheme has come into effect from April 1, 2025.
A formal Office Memorandum (No. Fin (Pen) A(3)-1/2025) issued by the Finance (Pension) Department on Monday cites the instructions issued by the Government of India's Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), along with the regulatory framework laid out by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) under its notification dated March 19, 2025.
