Shimla, Jan. 24 -- All educational institutions in the Banjar and Manali sub-divisions of Kullu district would remain closed on January 24, in view of continuous heavy snowfall and hazardous travel conditions.
The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairperson, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kullu, Torul S. Raveesh, under Sections 30 and 34(m) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. It applies to all government and private institutions, including schools, colleges, ITIs, polytechnics, engineering and pharmacy colleges, DIETs, and Anganwadi centres.
