Shimla, May 3 -- As many as 26 passengers were injured when a private bus overturned near Niyazpur in the Nurpur subdivision of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday.
According to Nurpur Police, the bus, which was on its way from Chamba to Una, was carrying around 26 passengers, including the bus driver and conductor, when the accident occurred on the Pathankot-Mandi highway.
According to preliminary reports, the driver allegedly suffered a sudden medical emergency, suspected to be a heart attack or severe chest pain, leading to loss of control over the vehicle.
Local residents, along with police and emergency teams, rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
