Solan, Feb. 16 -- With fresh reports indicating the spread of Alternaria leaf spot and Marssonina leaf blotch in several apple-growing pockets, Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry (UHF), Nauni, has decided to intensify its field-level intervention from February 17 to 19 across five major districts of Himachal Pradesh.
Eight expert teams of scientists from the university, working in coordination with the Horticulture Department, will conduct on-the-spot awareness and advisory programmes in Shimla, Kinnaur, Chamba, Kullu and Mandi districts.
