Shimla, Jan. 22 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, while chairing a meeting of the Health Department here on Wednesday, said that the state government would formulate Himachal Pradesh's first-ever Nutrition Policy to ensure comprehensive and long-term benefits for the people.

He stated that the government was already implementing several nutrition and food security programmes, including the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and the Public Distribution System (PDS).

The Chief Minister emphasised that, in view of these initiatives, nutritional profiling was of critical importance.
