Shimla, March 28 -- The Himachal Pradesh government is strengthening the rural economy by promoting natural farming and enhancing support for farmers and dairy producers, said Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday.

He said the initiatives announced in the 2026-27 State budget aim to increase farmers' income and expand opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors.

The Chief Minister was speaking after Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania called on him here and presented flowers of 'Kachnar' as a gesture of appreciation for the government's initiatives aimed at promoting natural farming in the State.
