Shimla, Jan. 29 -- Even as snowfall has largely subsided, Himachal Pradesh continues to reel under an intense cold spell, with minimum temperatures across the state remaining in the sub-zero to single-digit range, severely affecting daily life and slowing restoration work in snow-affected areas.

According to the latest morning bulletin issued by the IMD, there has been no significant change in minimum temperatures during the past 24 hours, and most stations recorded temperatures near or slightly below normal.

The coldest place in the state was Tabo, where the mercury plunged to minus 9.8 degrees Celsius, nearly four to five degrees below normal, indicating severe cold conditions in the tribal belt.
