Shahpur (Kangra), Feb. 11 -- Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania on Tuesday said the Water Power Department is spending nearly Rs 80 crore on drinking water projects in the Shahpur Assembly constituency to ensure an uninterrupted supply of potable water for residents.
Speaking at a public meeting after inaugurating three electric-operated hand pumps in Manjhgran Panchayat, Pathania said, "The state government is fully committed to providing basic amenities, including drinking water, roads, electricity, health, and education."The electric hand pumps were inaugurated at Ward No. 5 Dadroli, Ward No. 2 near Satvik Marriage Palace, and Ward No. 3 Dukhru.
