Shimla, Oct. 20 -- The Himachal Pradesh High Court has suspended the sentence and granted bail to Kishan Chand, who was convicted by a CBI court in a multi-crore Kangra Central Cooperative (KCC) Bank loan fraud case.
Justice Virender Singh, while passing the order on Friday, allowed the plea seeking suspension of sentence awarded by the Special Judge (CBI), Shimla, in 2015.
The trial court had convicted Kishan Chand under various sections of the IPC in a Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, case sentencing him to rigorous imprisonment of up to four years with fines under each count.
