Shimla, March 18 -- In a major administrative push, the Himachal Pradesh government has ordered the removal of "blue-eyed" tainted officials from key positions, directing all departments to act against officers of doubtful integrity (ODI) holding appointments, extensions, or re-employment.

A day after withdrawing cabinet rank from several political appointees, the government has intensified its focus on bureaucratic accountability. Instructions have been issued to all Heads of Departments (HoDs) to review and weed out such officials from the system.

According to the notification, departments have been clearly instructed "All Heads of Departments should review cases of officers who have been granted extension in service or re-employment."O...
