Shimla, April 12 -- The Communist Party of India - Marxist (CPI-M) has urged Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to immediately roll back the decision to shift the gynaecology OPD of Kamla Nehru Hospital to the OPD complex of Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, citing strong public opposition and concerns over healthcare accessibility.
In a memoradum to the Chief Minister, CPI(M) state secretary Sanjay Chauhan said the decision has triggered widespread resentment among the public and the party does not support the move.
He demanded that the OPD services be continued at Kamla Nehru Hospital in the larger public interest.
