Shimla, Feb. 6 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukvinder Singh Sukhu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s Geotropy India Pvt. Ltd. on Thursday night to explore the potential of geothermal energy in the state.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, and the Ambassador of Iceland to India, Benedikt Hoskuldsson, were also present on the occasion. The MoU was signed by Chief Engineer D.P. Gupta of the Directorate of Energy on behalf of the state government and Tomas Otto Hansen, Chairperson of Geotropy ehf.
