Palampur, April 15 -- The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party today launched a sharp attack on the Himachal Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, alleging a complete breakdown of law and order and rampant corruption in the state.

State BJP President Dr. Rajiv Bindal, addressing a gathering in Palampur, cited the Chester Hill land controversy and the recent murder of a 19-year-old student in Sarkaghat, claiming Himachal Pradesh has become a symbol of "lawlessness and chaos" under Congress rule.

He alleged that despite showing an annual income of Rs. 6 lakh, an individual purchased land worth crores, calling it a clear indication of deep-rooted corruption.
