Nahan, Feb. 17 -- Eight employees were hospitalised after they inhaled a toxic gas leaked at Tirupati Life Sciences in Paonta Sahib industrial area of Sirmaur district, triggering panic inside the factory premises and raising serious concerns over industrial safety standards.
The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday evening, when methylene dichloride reportedly leaked from a storage tank within the factory.
Workers present on the premises experienced symptoms including dizziness, nervousness and weakness, prompting immediate evacuation.
The affected employees were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Paonta Sahib. Hospital sources confirmed that four workers were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while two others were discharged ...
