Bhubaneswar, Feb. 11 -- HIF Global India, a subsidiary of Chile-based HIF Global, has expressed interest in investing approximately $1 billion in Odisha's renewable energy sector.
The company made a presentation on e-fuel production before Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, who holds the energy portfolio, at Lok Seva Bhavan on Tuesday.
HIF Global India is currently engaged in methanol synthesis projects in countries such as the United States, Chile, Uruguay, and Australia.
According to official sources, the company has shown a strong interest in investing around $1 billion in a methanol synthesis project in Odisha.
