Hyderabad, Jan. 13 -- Ahead of the union Budget 2026, Heritage Foods Ltd Executive Director Brahmani Nara on Tuesday called for targeted policy support to accelerate growth in India's organised dairy sector, citing favourable market conditions following the September 2025 GST rationalisation.
In a statement, Brahmani said the GST changes have boosted organised dairy players, with consumers increasingly shifting toward high-protein and health-focused products such as paneer, cheese, ghee and butter.
She said government-led initiatives, including the Rashtriya Gokul Mission and the National Digital Livestock Mission, are helping to integrate more than 300,000 farmers associated with Heritage Foods into the organised dairy ecosystem.
