Ranchi, Oct. 8 -- Chief Minister Hemant Soren today met the families of martyred constables Sunil Kumar Ram and Santan Kumar Mehta at his official residence here and handed over financial assistance of Rs 1.10 crore each.
The aid was provided under the State Bank of India's Police Salary Package scheme, with a total of Rs 2.2 crore transferred to the families' accounts.
Expressing sympathy, Soren said Jharkhand would remain indebted to its martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
He assured the families that the government would stand with them in every situation and help ensure their children's education and well-being.
