Ranchi/Chabua, April 6 -- Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) executive president Hemant Soren on Monday campaigned virtually for the party's candidate from Assam's Chabua-Lahowal Assembly seat and raised issues relating to tea garden workers and Adivasi rights.

Addressing an election meeting online in support of JMM candidate Bhuben Murari, Soren alleged that he was unable to travel for the campaign after his helicopter was not given clearance due to the Prime Minister's programme.

He termed the development an attempt to obstruct political campaigning and said such actions were against the spirit of democracy.
