Pune, Sept. 15 -- Most districts of Maharashtra have been battered by heavy rainfall since early this morning, with showers pouring down in Mumbai, Pune, and other parts. In rural Pune, torrential rains have caused severe waterlogging, with intermittent showers still continuing.
In Theur, around 50 houses were flooded with large inflow of water. As a result, NDRF teams were deployed in the area, and the personnel safely rescued residents from low-lying parts of the village.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Pune and the ghat regions.
Heavy rainfall continues in Pune city as well as rural areas. Dhayari, Indapur, and Theur have been severely affected, with many houses flooded.
