Thiruvananthapuram, April 23 -- With temperatures rising beyond 40degC in parts of Kerala, the India Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for Palakkad, Kollam and Thrissur districts.
High humidity is worsening heat conditions across other regions as well, leading authorities to call for heightened public vigilance.
Officials cautioned that prolonged exposure to extreme heat could trigger serious health issues such as dehydration, heat exhaustion and heatstroke, potentially becoming life-threatening.
