Ranchi, Feb. 5 -- Jharkhand Health Minister and Chairman of the State Haj Committee, Dr Irfan Ansari, on Thursday held a meeting with Civil Surgeons of all districts to review medical screening and vaccination arrangements for Haj pilgrims scheduled to travel this year.

He informed that around 1,670 Haj pilgrims from Jharkhand would travel in Haj 2026. Keeping the timeline in view, he directed that medical screening of all pilgrims must be completed by February 7, so that the vaccination process can begin smoothly from February 8.

He emphasised that vaccination and visa procedures will be initiated only after completion of mandatory medical examinations.
