Barabanki, Nov. 4 -- With two more deaths, the toll in road accident near Kutlupur village in Deva, Barabanki, rises to eight.
The incident took place after an Ertiga car collided head-on with a truck late on Monday night. Among the deceased are a well-known local jeweler, his wife, and their two sons.
The victims were returning from Ganga snan (a ritual bath in the Ganges) at Bithoor when the tragedy occurred. The impact of the collision was so severe that the 14-foot-long car was crushed down to nearly 7 feet.
