Lucknow, Sept. 11 -- The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today took a tough stand on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking the court's direction for strict action against the educational institutions running without recognition in Uttar Pradesh.

The bench has directed the state government, University Grants Commission (UGC), Bar Council of India (BCI), BCUP and Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU), Barabanki to file a counter affidavit in two weeks. Along with this, the court has directed SRMU to upload the documents of approval to run a law course on the website.

The division bench of Justice Rajan Roy and Justice Manjeev Shukla gave this order on the PIL of Saurabh Singh.
