Mumbai, May 4 -- The Bombay High Court on Monday granted bail to human rights activist and lawyer Surendra Gadling in the 2018 Elgar Parishad-Bhima Koregaon case.
A division bench of Justices Ajey Gadkari and Kamal Khata granted the bail on the ground of parity of other accused, and also primarily on the ground of prolonged incarceration. Gadling has been in custody since his arrest on June 6, 2018.
Despite bail granted by the high court, Gadling will remain in jail as his bail plea in another case is pending before the Apex court.
