Kannur, Jan. 30 -- CPI(M) expelled whistle blower V. Kunhikrishnan (75) approached the Kerala High Court on Friday, seeking police protection citing a threat to his life and property ahead of the release of his book exposing corruption on February 2.
The High Court has directed the District Police Chief and the Station House Officer (SH0) of Payyanur to ensure that there is adequate protection for Kunhikrishnan. His book titled "Nethakkale Thiruthan Anikal" (Cadres to Correct the Leaders), is an expose on alleged financial irregularities and mismanagement of martyr funds and other funds by some of the the CPI(M) leaders of Payyanur including MLA T.I Madhusoodhanan.
