Dhaka/New Delhi, April 14 -- Former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged her countrymen to "drive out the anti-liberation and anti-culture forces" under the Mohd Yunus-led Interim Government, and raise Bangladesh's head high on the global stage.
In a Pohela Boisakh message on the Bengali New Year, Hasina, who is living in exile in India, lashed out against the Islamic fundamentalist leanings of the Interim Government which forced the renaming of the 'Mongol Shobhajatra' into 'Anondo Shobhajatra', following prompting by the Islamic radical Hefazat-e-Islam party.
She termed the Islamist forces who forced the name change as enemies of Bangladesh.
