Kaithal, May 4 -- The police, in addition to maintaining peace and law and order in the district, have achieved significant success during the month of April by arresting 130 accused in 110 cases of liquor and drug smuggling, theft, robbery, burglary, illegal possession of arms, etc.
A police spokesperson disclosed that during the month of April, 47 accused were arrested in 36 cases, and stolen property worth Rs 20.51 lakh was recovered from their possession.
During the past month, a special campaign was launched against drug traffickers, registering 17 cases under the NDPS Act, and 24 accused were arrested.
