Chandigarh, Jan. 19 -- The Haryana government has decided to induct Agniveers into the state's first Haryana State Disaster Response Force (HSDRF), providing fresh opportunities to personnel completing their four-year tenure under the Agnipath scheme. The move comes as 2,227 Agniveers recruited during 2022-23 are set to retire later this year.
Financial Commissioner (Revenue) and Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Dr Sumita Misra, sahred the government decision with media. He chaired a high-level review meeting on Monday to assess the progress of the HSDRF's formation.
