Chandigarh, Sept. 21 -- In a major relief measure for rice millers, the Haryana government has extended the rice delivery and bonus eligibility period from March 15, 2025, to June 30, 2025, benefiting approximately 1,000 mills across the state.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that this decision also includes a waiver of around Rs. 50 crore in holding charges, easing financial burdens on millers.

Speaking at a press conference, Saini explained that the Haryana Rice Millers Association had raised concerns about delays in rice delivery to the Food Corporation of India (FCI), which began accepting consignments nearly 45 days late, hindering millers' ability to meet deadlines.
