Chandigarh, March 30 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued a stern directive to the state health department to implement a real-time centralised drug inventory system across all government hospitals. During a comprehensive review meeting of health services at the Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Minister emphasised that digital transparency regarding medicine availability is non-negotiable.

Under the new system, physicians will be kept informed about the specific stocks available within the facility to eliminate the practice of prescribing medicines from private pharmacies.
