Una, Jan. 7 -- In an era marked by rapidly depleting groundwater and drying natural water sources, the Haroli Assembly constituency in Una district has emerged as a model of sustainable water management.

Ancient village ponds, locally known as tobas, are being revitalized and transformed into modern, multi-purpose reservoirs at an estimated cost of about Rs. 20 crore, setting a new benchmark in water conservation and environmental stewardship.

The initiative, spearheaded under the leadership of Haroli MLA and Deputy Chief Minister, seeks to strengthen groundwater recharge, restore ecological balance, and secure water resources for future generations.
