New Delhi, Dec. 23 -- Soorma Hockey Club (SHC) has retained its leadership core for the upcoming editions of the Hockey India League, announcing that Harmanpreet Singh will continue to captain the men's team, while senior goalkeeper Savita Punia and midfielder Salima Tete will once again serve as co-captains of the women's side.

According to the press release by Soorma Hockey Club, Harmanpreet's leadership and influence remain central to SHC's plans. Renowned for his composure in defence and lethal drag-flicking ability, the Indian national team skipper guided the men's team to a third-place finish in the Hockey India League last season.
