Hamirpur, Sept. 16 -- On and off heavy and moderate rains during the last two days have caused extensive damage in many areas of Hamirpur districict in Himachal Pradesh, official sources said today.
According to the reports received till the afternoon at the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), public and private property worth about Rs 19.70 lakh has been damaged in the district during the last 24 hours.
With this, the figure of loss across the district in this monsoon season has exceeded Rs 338.54 crore.
