Hamirpur (HP), Jan. 23 -- An undertrial prisoner of Hamirpur jail has been booked for assaulting a duty officer.
Stating this, SO Hamirpur Balbir Singh said that this morning, an incident occurred at the District Jail Hamirpur in which an undertrial prisoner, Shubhkaran, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Majhari, District Rupnagar (Punjab), assaulted a duty officer, obstructing him in the performance of his official duties.
The incident was immediately reported to senior officials, and a complaint was filed at the police station.
